DREAM is Novum Live’s five-stage process—Design, Refine, Execute, Activate and Measure—connecting objectives, creative development, detailed preparation, live delivery and post-event learning.
The DREAM process gives clients and delivery teams a shared route from idea to outcome. Each stage has a distinct purpose: define success, test and refine the plan, prepare every workstream, activate the live experience and then review what the event achieved.
01 · The detail
Inputs, decisions and outputs at every stage
DREAM gives clients and delivery teams a shared route from early objective to post-event learning.
Design defines the audience, objective and scope. Refine develops and tests the plan. Execute completes content, logistics and technical preparation. Activate coordinates the live experience. Measure reviews evidence against the agreed objective.
02 · The detail
Control without unnecessary handovers
Responsibilities, approvals, changes and critical decisions remain visible as the project develops.
The working plan is proportionate to the event and can include decision logs, schedules, budgets, production plans, content reviews, rehearsals and risk controls.
03 · The detail
Measurement begins during Design
Useful evaluation starts with a clear definition of what the event needs to achieve.
The measures may include audience understanding, participation, feedback, behaviour, operational performance or another agreed outcome. The method is chosen to suit the objective and available evidence.
What guides us
What the work can include.
Every brief is different. We shape the right mix of thinking, people and production around the audience and the result you need.
01
Design
Explore the vision, audience and desired outcomes, then turn them into a clear concept and set of deliverables.
02
Refine
Review creative, administrative, operational and technical detail at agreed milestones, using visualisation where useful.
03
Execute
Produce content, coordinate logistics and complete the technical preparation, build and rehearsals.
04
Activate
Coordinate the live team and production so each element happens at the right moment.
05
Measure
Gather relevant feedback and evidence against the objectives set during design.
Useful detail for planning, comparing options and writing the brief.
What does DREAM stand for?
DREAM stands for Design, Refine, Execute, Activate and Measure.
When are event objectives agreed?
Objectives are defined during the Design stage so the concept, delivery decisions and post-event measurement can all refer back to the same definition of success.
How does DREAM reduce event risk?
The process creates review points for creative, operational and technical detail, supports pre-visualisation and rehearsals, and gives the team time to resolve issues before the audience arrives.
How does Novum manage an event?
Novum uses DREAM: Design, Refine, Execute, Activate and Measure. The process connects objectives and creative development with planning, production, live delivery and review.
When are important event decisions made?
Decision points are agreed during Design and Refine, then tracked against the schedule so content, venue, supplier and technical choices are resolved at the right time.
What happens during event pre-production?
Pre-production can include content development, schedules, supplier coordination, technical design, drawings, testing, rehearsals, logistics, risk controls and the live running order.
How are event outcomes measured?
The objective and available evidence are agreed early. Measurement can use audience feedback, participation, content response, operational data or another suitable indicator.
